Facebook Group

Just a minor note, I'm sure most of us here use facebook, so why not create a facebook group for the purpose of events and get to know players? At least on the overall scheme, we can see how many players are there who play warmachine in malaysia? And it's also easier to post event invitation for random friday game and the like. (I'm sure that will save Jason's sms bill in the long term.)

Creating a facebook group is a fine idea. But due to various reasons if there is ever any I cant join.

lol. can't argue on free sms then. But it's just a suggestion. since most people log on to fb daily basis, it's easier to see calendar events and all that.

Its to target different market,
there is still alot ppl doesn't know bout this forum yet.

We can get ppl from facebook to join/play WM... I believe there still alot ppl out there with WM minis thought the game is already dead and just shaft the mini in the cabinet somewhere. I personally have met a few that think so lately.

Facebook is kinda like a network virus. If you have a warmachine facebook group in malaysia, people will join if they see you join. and they tend to do random search and join groups like that. especially if you invite people you know who have the minis.

But yeah, spread the love.

I can't access FB from work uwaaaaaaa! I hope the forum will still go on if the FB is up. I need daily WM dosage!

Well I would suggest the facebook its just to hold event and upload photos . While the main point still is to redirect the ppl here at WMMALAYSIA

yes, especially considering 'some' ppl who only know how to upload photos on FB.

I will say the facebook is mainly for event notification and act more as a recruiting tool. Of course, pictures and the like should go there, since its easier to post photos at facebook compared to forums.

Naturally, all the other stuff should come here.

True2, and most phones make uploading pictures to FB a tap away. can't be a replacement for forum banter though

If nobody is up to it, i can always create one on the fly, i did the same for L5R Malaysia/Singapore group in fb. Then i just upgrade all the necessary guys to become officers in the group.
