Guitar. I have a customized Telecaster that plays like an Esquire on a tapped single coil humbucker. My respect for those who know what I'm talking about Razz

ROCK BAND! the game for real man who rather spend time to play warmachine than learning an actual instrument. Xxxx hero series, wannabes hero.... Muahahahaha!

I am learning to play the Ocarina on iPhone!

I use to know a few guitar songs... Only bare minimum cords.

I bang the piano... with my fist!

Almond are you serious? Or just joking? I bet you can rock the house with a tele. Please tell me it's a classic... 197x at least... Please please be true. I have never ever ever never touch one or seen one in person... Can you bring one if these days.

And rock the house with it!

Did you custom it yourself?

Nah, none of those. Don't have the money to get a 70's Tele. It's an Indonesian Squier. Indonesian made guitars sound way better than China made ones because of the wood quality. And yep, I custom it myself. The wiring, the works. Even changed the tuners/radioheads.

One of these days, I'll be making my own from scratch using Ikea planks Razz

If I have the time. Which I don't, sadly.

@Tekanan, you can find one at Lowyat musicians thread or lelong.com.my

I myself own 2 electrics; a Fender Telecaster with Texas pickups and Epiphone sheraton II. Unfortunately the tele needs work with the input jack. Used to play in a tiny band with Uni mates.

True, If I am not mistaken some wood pieces in ikea are maple wood which is good guitar material. But it doesn't mean that its guitar quality maple. You would still need rosewood for the neck. I think it might be cheaper to just order a piece from the states / uk.

I'd like a maple fingerboard one of these days. Playing with rosewood tends to get hot.

@tekanan: Second hand guitar? Geee... that's a tough one. I guess you can check mudah.com.my for good deals. But if you're just looking for new practice axe, the Squier Affinity series are good if you like Fender guitars. There's a damn good black Epiphone Les Paul beginner guitar that went for about RM550 or so, but I'm not sure if there's any left right now.

addendum: I nearly forgot, good cheap brands that provide awesome bang for buck are Cort and G&L, though G&L prices tends to be among the standard brands lately.

I prefer Japan. They have better electronics. The workmanship is pretty good too.
