Why choose the Faction you play?

My first army was legion of everblight...Started cause of the looks of Angelius and Typhon...Starting playing em when i realize that Thragosh is the sole Alpha Male surrounded by his band of Harems...now what a coincidence...

Next army was Menoth..I've always like the overall feel and theme of zealous army (Note: I play Space Marine Black Templar in 40K and named them sons of Raymond). Got fascinated with the background of Harbinger...And thus why i chose Menoth as my second army...

So what's the reason that pulled u into this hobby?

At the beginning, I was choosing between Legion (draconic stuffs), Cryx (undead!), Circle (wold constructs), Trollbloods (trolls! waagh!) and Khador (ice). In the end, I picked Khador because I was drawn to its Icy theme, that "heavy" feel, and also the ever so sexay Sorscha. Up till now, Khador is still my main faction!

Reasons why I got into Warmachine deserves another thread.

I've been drawn subconsciously, factions that are deemed harder to play on the onset. Plus, at that time, no one was picking up Circle, so I like to play a faction that no one picks up.

Still love Circle as it is, I took Skorne since i needed to expand a second army and that seems to be a good deal at that time.

Warmachine, I may like Cygnar / Cryx, but being overloaded with players, i opt not to play them at the moment.

I took one look at the Khador jacks and their comical proportions, combined with three fingered giant paws appealed to me solely due to tremendous cuteness.

Other models that drew me in were Butcher in his potbellied steam armor and the mechanik chief with his great big bionic paw.

Fat mechanical paws are awesome!

So yes i was drawn into khador because everything is fat and armored.

Warpwolves. Definitely the warpwolves. I started this whole game with the Circle box in MkI, then dabbled in Menoth a little - I like that Menoth is the anti-Wurm. Circle is still my favourite, though. I prefer the Fury mechanics over the Focus ones.

There is only one reason why I chose Khador.

It's squee's fault.

Well I started Cryx coz that's one second hand and affordable army I could buy at that time.

Uh... way back then among all the jacks Khador looks the meanest coolest strongest... Yeah the jacks rocks!

But now Cygnaran Jacks are getting lots of nice details on their boiler, and Menoth have the Bastian... cis! THe look bigger, meaner and tougher than Man O War....

But i am loyal, i stick to one clan. (also because i am poor)


Wanted to get started with either Elves or Elephants...
Elves for their mobility and versatility. I love a Swiss army knife army.
Elephants just because they look cool (mean, big, tough, cool)

I got into Menoth because the Harbinger came to me in a dream. The next day I became a man...

I've always like WM... just that I'm too into 40k. but due to work related issues, I had to get the minis so ....... not bad for an excuse eh?

I chose Khador because of the jacks. Ironically, I hate the Butcher.

I play Cygnar because its the only army where there is a warcaster wielding a pair of pistols!
