Hello good people!

I'm offerring my services for assembling and pinning your miniatures. As you know, privateer press makes great miniatures but unfortunately these miniatures are flawed in joint design. For example: connecting weapons at the wrists, attachable spikes, individual leg joints etc.

Pinning your miniatures can help mitigate this issue. Pinning is the process of attaching a metal pin (usually paper clips) and drilling a hole in both joints. I advise pinning your miniatures before undercoating as some green stuff might be used to strengthen the joint. This is best covered with paint.

If you are interested, please approach me during our regular meetings at Hobby Forge, CCDJ or LEGIO. Fees will be agreed upon after inspecting the job need doing, its level of difficulty and amount of time needed. I figured this is a great way for me to scrutinize miniatures from other factions and report back to the Hierarch.

You can find me by spotting the RFG (random fat gamer) playing Menoth and screaming burrning elephants!!!

Sure thing, tell me what you need done and I can give you the estimated time of completion. You need to bring the models in questions though.

As long as it's for pinning, just bring it over this weekend, I'll take a look at it Smile

Oh btw, I think the pigs should have black skin / hide instead of the domesticated pig orange / pink color.

Hi guys, for those who need pinning services please come to LEGIO tonight and bring your model. Most important thing though, bring a container for your model because my bag is full hehehe A simple one would be wrapping your miniature in tissue / foam and putting it in a small box. Easier for me to bring home without damaging it Smile Appreciate your help!

p/s: If the model requires green stuff on it, probably need to take it home over the weekend.

I bought from Alvin at RM35 Smile

Just a tip about using GS, use wooden tools (you can get these from craft stores). You need to apply water to your tools to prevent the GS from sticking to it while 'crafting'. Wooden tools hold water better. Sharp toothpicks (borrow some from mamak) works great imo.

May try some type of grease on metal tool too. I think that may work.

I use Green stuff to put models on bases nowadays. Easier and quicker than pinning. The only problem is keeping your model standing upright. If the model is not balanced, still have to pin and glue.

I like the overall sculpt. Shame the painting could be better. I think Green stuff can easily be worked into that cloth. Looks like its made of GS too..

Here's another model done for mr. Jym! The buku of menoth!

Update on latest non-menite project Very Happy

This is the megalith with a not so "disco" pose. The model was originally heavily painted so I couldn't paint over it. Got me some thinner and in it went for a super wasy clean-up with toothbrush. Dettol can work too and might be less hazardous, but I wanted something fast to work with. But always remember to remove bases when you do this.

Model assembly / Pinning service Picture013cw

The basecoat is black (easier to work with imo) and because its basically a rock dude, a couple of layers of codex grey drybrush applied to give that rocky texture.

I then created a "White wash" lolz. Its just thinned down white paint and applied it to the recesses of the glyphs symbols. This is followed by a yellow wash. perhaps a few coats. Dab the excess with tissue. Then apply green thraka wash to give the green color glow around the yellows. Followed up with a very tedious highlighting procedure using a small brush and bright green/yellow paint.

Clean up with black paint drybrush over the mucked up area.

Hi guys,

Just want to inform all of you that I am temporarily shutting up shop Very Happy due to work and family commitments. I also want to spend more time on my own models. So whatever models of your I am holding on to right now will be returned to you this Friday.

It has been a great experience and I appreciate your support. Maybe in the future when I am not so busy I might take in more work again.

Thanks!
