Saw this i think it is informative for new players. That day we played it as "total"armour divide by half. However the proper way is to half the arm, then add any bonus (including Shield, and/or caster focus arm bonus)

So Butcher on 6 will be 18/2 + 6 = ARM15, and not ARM12

Armor piecing only reduces base armor.
