Warmachie Malaysia Forum Rules & Regulations

Hi, this is Tekanan, one of the Moderators of this forum. I’ve written this up to try and introduce our new (& old) members to the rules of the forums.

This website is strictly Warmachine/Hordes only with exception to the Kopitiam thread. Warmachine Malaysia promotes constructive discussion about all aspects of the Warmachine/Hordes hobby. This is a public forum that is viewed by members from a wide range of age groups and cultural backgrounds. Please be considerate of others when composing your replies.

General Rules

The following rules apply to this website:-
- No trolling
- No flaming
- No chat or "leet" speak
- No obscenity/pornography (or links that leads to it)
- No derogatory terms (particularly those dealing with ethnicity) or swearing
- No Intellectual Property (IP) Violations
- No hate speech
- No political/governmental discussions
- No harassment of another specific person
- No spamming through repeated posts, or off-topic content
- No advertising or promoting business/commercial site (see Trade/Sell sub-forum rules for exceptions)
- No registering and using multiple forum member accounts without prior permission
- No using another member’s account (to post, etc)
- No advertising products unrelated to Warmachine/Hordes
- No direct linking images (images must be hosted from a 3rd party website)
- English used as the communicating language


Sub-Forum Rules

The following are additional rules one must adhere to when posting in the following sub-forums:

Spoilers / Rumours
- Only discussion on spoilers/rumours are allowed here.
- Must be related to PP or local WM issues.
- Source is highly encouraged to be cited.

Rule Questions & Clarifications
- Inactive threads more than a month old are not allowed to be revived. If you have further questions, create a new thread and include the link to the old thread.
- Thread subject must be clear as to what the question/clarification is relating to.

Strategy
The following tag must be written in your Topic Title before your given title description:

For Army List:
"[Faction name] Title Description"
e.g. "[Khador] pSorscha 15pts list in need of suggestions"
e.g. "[Cryx] pGorshade 25pts"

For Strategy:
"[Tactical] Title Description"
e.g. "[Tactical] Is Trample power attack useful?"
e.g. "[Tactical] What are the useful Man-O-War formations Shield Wall formations available?"

For anything else that is not Army List or Strategy:
"[Special] Title Description"
e.g. "[Special] WM Malaysia Tournament Army Lists!"
e.g. "[Special] Warmachine - Theme Force tier at 15pts"

Miniatures Painting and Modelling
- Images must be hosted on a 3rd party website [i.e. www.imageshack.us]
- Any pics of a model not belonging to you must be credited.

Events
- Only events related to WM/Hordes is allowed to be posted here.

Local Games Store News
- Forum members and store owners are allowed to post any store promotions/events/stock count
related to Warmachine/Hordes here.
- If a store owner finds a post that is deemed to jeopardize his store, feel free to PM a Mod for further actions taken. It is likely, but not certain, that the post will be deleted.

Trade/Sell
- Only trade/sales of non-shop owner forum members here are allowed.
- Only owner trade/sales are allowed to be posted here. Selling for someone else is allowed on a case-by-case basis. Please PM a mod for approval.
- Trade/sales are at your own risk! Warmachine Malaysia will not be held responsible for any losses or miscommunications.
- Should there be any posts that you think may jeopardize your trade/sale, please PM the moderator for further actions. It is likely, but not certain, that the post will be deleted.
- Only one thread per member’s sale. A second thread is okay but only if a Mod approves it.
- Threadomancy is allowed here only if it involves a sales/trade query or a sales/trade update.

Kopitiam
- No Obscenity/Porn
- No “Hottest asian girls” image gallery thread or anything that comes close to it


Thread Closure

A thread can face closure if the following criteria is met:-
- Discussion going off-topic
- Discussion discussed in another thread
- Excessive flaming
- Broke rules of Warmachine Malaysia

It is possible that after a certain period of time, a thread may be reopened. This is under the discretion of the Moderator/Admin.
