Storyline of MKII

So with the reset of MKII, where does Warmachine / Hordes stand in terms of story? Is MKII basically a reset of everything? meaning they go back as far MKI and spin off into their own timeline? Akin to Star Trek Movie recent reset?

Or is MKII basically MKI, so the story remains the same as per previous, meaning that they will continue after the last book before Prime/Primal MKII reset?

No reset with respect to story. None that I can detect, anyway. I have all the MkI books (except original Prime, I only have Prime:Remix). I think they've always just continued the story. eg. The story in Prime:Remix is not the same as in original Prime - it was a continuation.

MkII is a continuation of Warmachine:Legends (Heirarch Voyle died and is replaced by Severius) and Hordes:Metamorphosis (transformation of Thagrosh is complete). If you're interested in the story, I'd suggest getting the MkI books. The story is good! It's the reason I got into the game, actually - apart from the awesome models.
