Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
Haven't had much practice to figure out which list I'll play in tournament, I hope I get more games in before then.
A question: The rules say the models have to be based, does that mean I have to decorate the bases or something?

Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
I think 'based' actually means what Ramone said. With the miniature on that base, of course. Not just the base with sand / ballast glued onto it!
Undercoat is not usually mandated unless it specifies undercoated and based.

Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
Based means that you have to "decorate" your bases and not leave it as "stock".
Feel free on how you want to base it. If you are too damn lazy to apply sand and such, then I suggest (but not only) do some cobblestones! There are plenty of online articles that teach you how to do it without the need of putty. However personally IMO, it's more work than sand-basing.
If in doubt, just take a pic, post it here and ask. TO is not in Malaysia, so meeting him for 2nd hand opinions cannot be done.
@Neon: I think I know what caster you are bringing...

Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
Suggest you go there at least once b4 the tournament man. At the very least, see the terrain that we will be using!
Yes, unless we have blatant objections from shopowner, we WILL be using Hobby Forge terrains (in case it isn't obvious enough).

Haven't taken a picture of my army yet, but, they're all based with GF9 Foundation Dirt Flock. It looks like typical grass anyway so I don't bother adding anything else. Does it count for basing?

Yes it does, provided it is painted and not "bare".NeonUchuujin wrote:Haven't taken a picture of my army yet, but, they're all based with GF9 Foundation Dirt Flock. It looks like typical grass anyway so I don't bother adding anything else. Does it count for basing?

A good suggestion is to apply devlad mud and wait for it to dry. Then, dry brush bleached bone off the base for that sandy look. Make sure your paint for the drybrushing isn't thick as you would tend to get that muddy effect instead. For the purpose of this tournament, this is considered "based".
This is VERY fast to do and virtually no hassle involved.
