Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
Interesting observations.
I tend to take approx 2 hours for 25pts (which I agree is a tad bit too long).
I REALLY do hope that we can finish by the 40th minute for the tournament. The allocated time given for the tournament is taking "new player" considerations into account and even so, I think it is still quite harsh on them. Nevertheless, if everyone finishes <40min, I will start processing details for the next round unless a request for a player-break is highly in demand.
@jaseschew: mind going into detail on why we shouldn't fight elf at woods in another thread? Would love to read why haha.

Don't worry 40Mins for each game should be enough.

I met a few guys from Toybox Is it OK if I ask them to join ?

Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
There in lies the conclusion to the problem I've been thinking about lately.
How to get more people into WM/H. How to get people who've never played it, to start playing? How do you get people to even want to give it a try? A gaming group like ours helps only a little, IMHO. You have to personally invite people to games. If you don't know them, how are you going to invite them?
To get new blood, the new blood-to-be must be exposed to the delights of WM/H. The variety of stuff available. The coolness of the various models 'in person' as opposed to from a photo online. Just being exposed to players and their own models is not enough. You want them to gawk at the stuff on the shelves. To hold the merchandise in their hands. To spark their imagination. The vision of mayhem and carnage that this thing they hold in the hands can wreak on the tabletop!
What we really need is for an LGS to fully support this game by bringing stuff in, stocking it on the shelves and a store owner who knows the game enough to be able to explain it to a wandering customer. A store owner willing to hold organized play events, whether official (worldwide events) or store leagues. This makes the whole scene more exciting for existing players and more enticing for 'innocent bystanders'.
I know of at least 6 new guys playing in just the last 3-4 months at WGS! Just because they wandered in, and saw all the cool minis on the wall and asking about it.
It would greatly help the scene if Hobby Forge too would start doing this - but I certainly do understand Alvin's situation wrt his resources. I also understand HF's commitment to GW's stuff as it's the main game in town, thus the biggest market.
Unfortunately, that's not our core interest. I do have 40k and still do play it...rarely but my favourite poison right now, is undoubtedly WM/H.
I'd suggest to all of us to support the LGS that supports the hobby/games we play. While ordering online does get us our stuff cheaper and often, faster (in my experience), it does not help our WM/H community in the short or long run. Especially wrt expanding our player base.
Really, after awhile, we all get bored of fighting the same armies with the same tactics, right? We need new blood to keep things interesting for ourselves. Also, more players means more potential for mayhem. Tournaments, leagues, conventions... Don't you wish we had enough of a community to hold a con here in Malaysia? I know I would!

1) WM Malaysia Tournament is open to EVERYONE (who has a WM army)! In fact, they are encouraged to participate!
2) Still plenty of seats left. I strongly recommend someone tell them to come into this forum and rego here to avoid any last minute rush on the day itself.
3) Date is confirmed.
By the way, keep it on topic guys. I've refrained myself from deleting some post wholely and instead editted out some parts as I feel that the post does have some sense in it. Nevertheless, it is off topic and should be elaborated further in another thread.

Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
I think WGS does know - iinm, Wolf did mention it last 2 weeks when I was there. Or was that last week? (I don't remember... this last month has been pretty bad for me gaming-wise. There's just not enough time it seems.)
Not sure about Legio, though. We have some Legio guys in our group, don't we?

If I'm not mistaken, WGS and Legio has been informed unless I missed out something.
Toybox has not been informed yet. Can someone perhaps help me out on that? I have a major course exam coming up this Sunday and I unfortunately do not have the time for these advertisements .

Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
hahaha
That's what happens when you own too many factions! I only have 1 WM and 1 H faction and I already have problems deciding between eKreoss and Reznik... or going furry with eKaya.

Considering what happened to your reznik last time, I think jasechew would like you to bring him to the tournament! XD
Seriously though, perhaps Reznik needs to see some light of day. Haven't heard much from him lately .
Re: WM Malaysia Tournament!!
If my complete in time I dont mind,
But I wont be playing Reznik , I be using Ah Pek of Menoth
